Government is committed to Leader’s guidelines: Rouhani

TEHRAN – President Hassan Rouhani has said that the government is committed to the guidelines set by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

He made the remarks during a meeting with the cabinet members in Tehran on Wednesday.

Rouhani also said that the sanctions will not stop the progress and development in the country.

“Our nation should be well aware that the sanctions will not stop our growth and development. Sanctions may slow down our movement, but the government is proud of the fact that it fought against recession and inflation under the sanctions and succeeded,” he stated.

He went on to say that Iran has attended the nuclear talks with the major powers (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) with “logic” and “reasoning”.

He went on to say that the Iranian people support the nuclear negotiators.
